Mission
It is the mission of the Thompson Okanagan Lakers to promote positive hockey experiences to aspiring female hockey players in the Thompson Okanagan region. Competing in the BC Female U18 AAA League, the Lakers take pride in being role models to younger players while serving as ambassadors for female hockey in our region. The Lakers program emphasizes player development with a focus on helping each athlete in the program to be the best hockey player and person that they can be. Developing as a team in a positive and encouraging environment with a foundation based on teamwork and sportsmanship, the Lakers program sets out to provide valuable life skills that will benefit participants beyond the ice.
